Honey and Soy Braised Chicken Wings - Taiwanese Favorite

A finger lickin' good recipe that the whole family will enjoy! The sweet and savory blend with the chicken wings are delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Canola Oil
  • 1.5 lbs Chicken Wings
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice wine
  • 1 tsp 5 Spice Powder
  • 50 mL Water

Instructions

  • Heat up your oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add your chicken wings into brown - about 1 minute on each side.
  • Add garlic and honey. Stir to ensure the honey coats the chicken wings. Let cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, sugar, rice win and 5 spice powder.
  • Add water and cover with lid. Turn your heat down to medium-low and let braise for 20 - 30 minutes.
